Before your waxing appointment- 

Exfoliate 48 hours before waxing to remove dead skin cells and loosen ingrown hairs. You can use a gentle brush or scrub, but be careful not to scrub too hard or irritate your skin. 

After waxing-

Keep the waxed area clean and dry for 48 hours. Avoid exfoliating, hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, and sun bathing and tanning booths for as long as the area is red. You can also try these aftercare tips: 

• Take a cool shower 
• Use mild, unscented soaps and shower gels 
• Apply an aloe vera gel or post waxing antiseptic cream
• Use mineral-based makeup to hide redness 
• Avoid wearing tight clothes or pantyhose after a bikini wax 
• Avoid sexual contact for at least 10 hours after waxing 
• Avoid swimming pools and hot tubs on the day of waxing 
• If you had your underarms waxed, avoid deodorants for 24 hours
